At NSPL Consulting, our mission is to promote mental well-being through compassionate and evidence-based psychological services. We strive to empower individuals and organisations to achieve their expected goals and enhance the quality of experiences.
We are a multi-professional team comprising Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Occupational Therapists, providing professional and dedicated care and support to individuals.
For Individuals:
We provide multi-professional, evidence-based Neurodevelopmental assessments for both Autism and ADHD, as recommended by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE).
We also provide post-diagnostic support and coaching, which involves drawing on various strategies and resources to help individuals and their families understand and manage their conditions. This can include medication management, psychoeducation, practical strategies, and mental health support.
For Organisations:
We provide consultation and advice to organisations focusing on Quality Improvement (QI), a systematic, data-driven approach that identifies and addresses issues within organisations, promoting effective organisational and financial outcomes. It involves using specific methods and tools to make measurable improvements.
QI focuses on continuous improvement by involving individuals and teams in understanding problems, developing solutions, and testing and adapting them based on data.
The autism assessment process includes an informant-based interview (typically with a parent or guardian), during which we will complete a robust early developmental history using the ADI-R informed assessment.
The assessment also involves an observational-based evaluation using the ADOS-2 informed assessment.
The assessment process involves a multi-disciplinary approach, combining personal information from a range of sources, including the use of standardised diagnostic tools recommended by NICE
The assessment includes a clinical interview using The Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in Adults (DIVA).
The Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in Adults (DIVA) is a structured interview used to assess and diagnose ADHD in adults. It's based on DSM-5 criteria and assesses symptoms of attention deficit, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. The DIVA-5 is the current version.
Post-diagnostic support aims to provide individuals with personalised interventions and assistance, focusing on pharmacological, psychological, and social support, where they can consider adjustments, support, and recommendations tailored to their specific needs.
At its core, QI encompasses a cycle of improvement that includes problem definition, planning, and testing change ideas, collecting and analysing data from both staff and service users in the enhancement and redesign of organisational delivery. It can be defined as the utilisation of a systematic method that employs specific techniques to enhance quality.
